bad commercial advertisements will undoubtedly take large numbers of side-effect and harm to consumers.if audiences believe the false advertisement and buy the products, both their property and healthy wouldbe damaged. in addition, fake commodities are not only extremely harmful to consumers, as well as the whole society, it break the market order, reduce the credibility of the real business ,make these kinds of product stay away from people’s trust.

in my opinion, for the government, certain policies andmeasures should be taken on the spot, such as dispose the tv station of handingin money, judge the selling fake bad manufacturer criminal punishment, and prohibit the emergence of the harmful advertisement. for the audience, they should strengthen the discrimination ability of the false goods, and would not be cheated by the fake television advertising as the cheap price and convenience.

the good news is that advertising serves market economy well, thanks in part to the media outlets like television, radio, newspapers, magazines and the internet. through the media, particularly television, advertising gives people a chance as consumers. people are told about new products and services that improve their lives. in fact, economy is at its best when the advertising industry is booming, imagining that when people are starving and freezing there should be no advertising whatever to sell food and fuel. advertising holds a mirror to an affluent society in a virtuous cycle benefitting many sectors. more advertisements mean more money to all media outlets, which in turn boosts more sales, which in turn pushes more production and creates more jobs and therefore more buying power.

those who think that advertising is bad must think again about the value of a market system which thrives on economic prosperity. contrary to popular belief, it seems that most consumers do not hate advertising because of their own foolish desires. they are aware that probably half the money they spend on advertising is wasted, without knowing clearly which half.

this continues throughout our lives. we spend a lot of our money trying to keep up with our neighbors. we buy the latest model cars, have all the latest gadgets in our homes, and live a lifestyle beyond our budgets. advertising encourages us to define ourselves by what we own rather than by who we are. it encourages a competition of false values and shallow measurements of what matters in our lives.

advertising can be damaging. however, it is also one of the ways in which our economy keeps growing. people need to buy products in order for other people to have jobs manufacturing, transporting and selling those products. advertising also keeps us informed about new products that may actually help us in some way. for these reasons, you could say advertising is a necessary evil.
